Street photography in Bangkok, Thailand

Woman in “YOUR CHOICE SNOOPY” sweater yawns on man’s shoulder on Bangkok metro, surrounded by tired commuters.

I went to South East Asia with one camera and two lenses. I only used one lens. Here’s a selection of street photos from Bangkok, Thailand.

I spent three weeks traveling in Thailand, Vietnam and Taiwan during Christmas and New Year’s Eve 2025/2026. My camera of choice was my Nikon Zf, and I brought two lenses:

  • Nikkor Z 28 mm f/2.8 (SE)
  • Nikkor-O 35mm f/2 Pre-Ai (manufactured in the 70s).

Here’s a shot from my hotel room in Saigon of my gear:

During the three weeks I spent traveling, I only used the 28 on my Nikon Zf. When I took this photo, I had the 35 f/2 mounted on. It is a F-mount lens, and I need to use a F to Z-mount adapter. That is why the lens looks like it is twice the length.

Here are the photos I took in Bangkok, Thailand:
