Once you notice them, they are everywhere. Drawings of penises, cocks, dicks.

Ever since we humans came to be humans, we have doodled on things. And when we doodle, we often draw dicks. There are even drawings of cocks on walls in Pompeii dating back to the antiquity.

So, the tradition is a proud one. But why do people still, to this day, take time out of their lives to draw penises on various surfaces? And why not female genitalia?

I’m perhaps starting a new project to find out. When I roam the streets of Oslo, I will keep an eye out for drawings of male genitalia. Here are a few that I’ve captured so far. Enjoy.
